Meditation Classes in Tavistock Kingdon House, Mondays 7.30pm - 8.45pm
With New Years’ resolutions in the air, Tavistock’s long-running Buddhist meditation class offers an inspiring January to March programme of drop-in sessions to help us to view our world in a different way.
Find an oasis of peace on a Monday evening, and discover how to develop our inner potential by contemplating fresh lines of reasoning, adopting new hopes and aspirations, and making heartfelt resolutions which bring happiness to self and others.
evenings (see dates below) from 7.30pm to 8.45pm at Kingdon House, Tavistock, where the topic of the night is presented along with a breathing meditation to relax our minds, questions, a guided meditation, discussion and tea and biscuits!
The Tavistock group is a branch class of the Ashoka Kadampa Buddhist Centre at 33, Sutherland Road, Plymouth, near the train station and just up the road from the old Eye Infirmary. At the Centre the very wonderful World Peace Cafe offers a selection of veggie and vegan delights, along with a peaceful atmosphere and the chance to enjoy a guided lunchtime meditation in our lovely meditation room on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - or simply come along for the Origin coffee and relish a pannini!
In Plymouth there are also classes for children and students, workshops and retreats. There’s always something going on! It’s worth watching the website at
