Mayhem
My life is a mixture of colours and feelings That all spin together while I am still dreaming
Distorting the truth of the day and the night Making things wrong yet putting them right Confusing reality, making me sick Then bringing me back to the world with a kick I wait for my brain to absorb all the panic With time running backwards, frustrated and manic
I try to make sense of the visions I’ve seen Faces of strangers, a place I’ve not been Floating in fear of a world that is real My life is a mixture of colours that feel.

I am Walking Next To You
I am walking next to you in the lightest of spring showers And I try to read your thoughts as you stoop to pick a flower
The colours of a rainbow are reflected in your eyes And I’m sure I catch the sound of the softest, saddest sigh
And now it is the summer and I never liked the heat I am walking next to you with the moss beneath my feet As the sun shines on your face I think I glimpse a tear So I look the other way and I try to hide my fear
The autumn’s here already, its my favourite time of year
And I’m dancing with the leaves feeling happy you are here
I am walking next to you and see a sadness in your eyes
And you pause for just a moment and look up into the sky
The cold air in the winter makes you shiver in the snow
I wish I never left you, didn’t want to have to go
The day that car ran into me it kind of killed you too
Its just your footprints in the snow but I am walking next to you.
