GLOSSARY - LOCAL PRODUCE SHOWCASE FOR LOCAL PRODUCTS
At Stokeley we support local producers in our area by showcasing their products. The following are a selection of producers in addition to our own produce from the farm, brewery, butchery and local bakers.
LUSCOMBE DRINKS from Buckfastleigh, have been making beautiful drinks with their family run business since 1975. Try their Sicilian Lemonade a delicious, sharp fresh citrus flavour, made with the best lemons in the world from Sicily.
CHOCOLATE ORCHARD in Ermington Devon, is a small family run business started by two sisters making chocolate bars, novelty shaped chocolate and lollies from beautiful Belgian chocolate.
CUCKOO FARM EGGS, based in Modbury. Free range eggs from truly free ranging hens fed on guaranteed GM free food, try their quail eggs.
LANGAGE ICE CREAM, makes ice-cream, cream and yoghurts with milk from their herd of more than 250 Jersey and Guernsey cows.
MIKES SMOKEHOUSE is a family run business offering a range of fine foods gently smoked over manuka woodchips for a light delicate flavour.

BURTS CRISPS made in Roborough Plymouth, hand fried crunchy potato chips, natural and full of flavour, producing 10 distinct flavours, including Sweet Chilli, with chillies sourced from South Devon Chilli Farm. Why not try their newly launched flavour, Guinness.
RED EARTH KITCHEN, free range meal makers, based near Kingsbridge, founded in 2004, and started life at home in a domestic kitchen. They make award winning handmade meals with the finest local free range meat.
HUNT'S FARM CIDER, are a small West Country family farm on the outskirts of Paignton in South Devon. With 18 acres of cider apple orchards, making in the region of 5000 to 7000 gallons of cider each year. All their cider is made from 100% juice, and although not certified as organic, do not use any sprays on their orchards.
TAW VALLEY CREAMERY in the heart of the Devon countryside has been producing award winning cheese since 1974. We stock a wide range of their cheddars. One of the more popular one being “Tasty”, a sweet well matured cheese with bags of depth and character. Peppered with the distinctive crystals to add a crunchy texture.
THE KITCHEN GARDEN. Mel Hegenbarth’s enthusiasm for producing traditional preserves and chutneys has developed into a small business. Many of the ingredients are home grown by Mel, others sourced locally to produce a wide range of jams, jellies, marmalades and tasty chutneys from a bygone age.
