LOCOMOTION is the Saturday night party on The Veranda at
Seven Nightclub. In legitimizing the outside space by adding sound and decor, Seven is taking its firmly established Saturday evening to the next level with the inclusion of House Music on The Veranda. LO- COMOTION provides contrast to the club’s inside room by brand- ing its vibe with smooth, underground dance music in an open-air environment. Resident DJs for the weekly event are Samson, Juancho Chaparro, and The Burner Brothers. The Burner Brothers, Chad and Brandon, have made a name
for themselves over the last year pacing SWFL nightspots with their percussive beats and rolling bass lines. A trademark groove and keen sense of dance floor control clearly demonstrate an intuitive under- standing of House Music by this DJ pair. They hosted and played at a pool party over Memorial Day weekend that was a great success, and are building on their reputation with their first official residency and an October guest appearance at Mekka, one of Miami’s premier after-hours venues. LOCOMOTION kicked off on September 8th with Brandon’s birthday celebration and an outstanding featured set by The Burner Brothers.

the SWFL dance scene. His ear for music and technical ability devel- oped quickly upon taking to the decks, and he was rewarded with a partnership alongside one of the scene’s established DJs. Since then, Juancho has come into his own musically and been in high demand with a number of quality bookings including recent spots at Gryphon Nightclub in Fort Lauderdale and Mekka in Miami. Excited for a fea- tured night of his own, Juancho is expected to deliver for LOCO- MOTION with his well-honed Tech House sound.

continuously relevant since he started spinning in 2007. One of the most versatile House DJs in the area, Samson has been tapped for gig after gig based on his reputation for consistently delivering dance floor results by always playing appropriately for the given crowd, ven- ue, and time slot. Samson’s style is unique because whatever genre he is playing – Tech House, Funky, Tribal, or Progressive – an undercur- rent of depth and feeling runs thematically through his music. His mix series includes 14 compilations, four of which are live sets from venues in SWFL.

ming which may appear fundamental, but unfortunately is not the focus many clubs have in designing promotions. With the full sup- port of management at Seven Nightclub, these innovative DJs are reshaping the SWFL scene by creating a new hub for House Music enthusiasts. The four close friends favor music over energy and qual- ity grooves over commercial sounds. Featured nights and peak hour time slots rotate between residents, and opening support is provided by other local DJs. Patrons can also expect guest DJs from outside the area behind the decks. This area’s dance scene has made many forward strides over
the last several years, building off the success of various club nights and other independent events. The emergence of new DJs accompa- nying the veteran core of local jocks has created a solid base of music for supporters. What’s been missing is a polished House Music ex- perience in a stylish nightclub. Seven provides the proper setting to finally execute this missing piece of the puzzle; the venue is sharp, the crowd attractive, and the staff is professional. Saturday night has been a success from the club’s inception, so the addition of The Veranda characterized by respected DJs, a distinct musical style, fresh decor, and legit sound system only further enhances the clubbing experi- ence at Seven.
