However, perhaps to reflect current economic conditions, our customers are looking to PVCu profiles to provide a cost-effective alternative. With PVCu windows, coloured finishes can be achieved in one of two different methods. One method is by fabricating the window frame, and then forwarding the

frame to a specialist company for spraying to the desired RAL colour. This tends to be a labour intensive method, as areas such as co-extruded gaskets have to be masked. The frame is then returned to the fabricator to complete the manufacturing process such as glazing, furniture etc.
Our preferred method is to use a foiled profile - this being a frame profile that has had a laminated PVCu foil bonded to the profile at post-extrusion stage. We can then fabricate the window frame already coloured - this method is quicker and, ultimately, more cost-effective.
