THE Lighthouse Club, the construction industry charity, plays a vital role in supporting members of the industry and their families facing difficult circumstances through bereavement, accident or illness.


Since its beginnings more than 50 years ago, the Lighthouse Club has been raising money to help people in financial need.

of more than £7m. This figure certainly justifies the club’s motto ‘Aliis cum Humanitate’, which translates from Latin as ‘Consideration for Others’. Last year, the Lighthouse Club helped more than 500 families in their times of need and gave out more than £500,000 in financial support. The Lighthouse Club has an


active South West branch which has raised £35,000 since it was revived around four years ago. One of the highlights of the branch’s year is the Ladies Night Dinner and Dance which is held at the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren.
