RECENT Government announcements via Greg Barker at the Department of Energy and Climate Change state that £110bn of investment is proposed. Much of this investment, I fear, will be funnelled towards financing nuclear plants and fossil-fuelled plants which are producing excessive CO2 emissions.
The phrase used is ‘a mix of various technologies, including some types of renewable energies’ - all rather vague. Meanwhile, due to Government changes to
