I connected all the wiring to the relay panel, and secured it in position:

It looks a bit of a dog’s breakfast here, but I spent some time tidying and re- routing the wiring to make it neater, and fixed the conduit in position on the side of the wing with cable ties. I turned on the ignition, and listened as my new relays clicked happily in all the right places as I turned on the headlights and then high / low beam, flash and so on. So then it was just a matter of connecting the headlights, putting the front of the Land Rover back together, and making sure it was all tidy and secure. On testing the lights in daylight, they did appear to be brighter, on both high and low beam - the filament seems to be burn whiter than before, plus I've now got my spots wired to come on with the high beam. ... A few months on, having used the lights in the dark on open roads, I’m very happy with the results. Much better lighting than the standard set up, even though I haven’t done anything to the bulbs, they’re still the standard ones that came with the Landy. This mod is definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears...
