SCIENCE BTEC First Diploma in


Applied Science (level 2) Develop your practical and work-related skills in science. You will study biology, chemistry, maths and physics in some detail and aspects of science in the workplace. The assignments include practical and research work.


Entry requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade D-G plus a satisfactory College assessment.


Possible next steps: Further study or employment.


BTEC National Diploma in


Applied Science (level 3) The two-year course combines studies in biology, chemistry, physics, maths and vocational studies and can lead to biochemistry, engineering and related degrees such as psychology, pharmacy and radiography. You will take part in plenty of interesting experiments and projects throughout the course.


Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade A-C, including science and maths.


Possible next steps: Higher Education or employment.


Many of our science students progress to top universities to study degrees such as biomedical or science.
