CACHE Level 1 Award in
Caring for Children This course is designed for people who are interested in working with young children. It will give you the basic knowledge and understanding about some of the skills required when working with young children. The course will introduce you to the importance of play, sharing learning experiences with children and different musical activities for children.
Construction This City & Guilds Level 1 Certifi cate course offers you an introduction to some of the crafts based in Construction while improving your Functional Skills in maths and English. A rotational workshop timetable includes painting, carpentry and brickwork. You will also enhance your personal and social development ensuring progression onto a full-time programme and be ready for employment.
Hospitality Quick Service This training course introduces you to the catering industry, giving you a solid foundation in your fi rst steps to becoming a catering professional. It provides the opportunity for you to train and develop skills and knowledge across different aspects of both the kitchen and the service / bar area.
BTEC Skills for Working Life (Literacy, Numeracy
and ICT) This course is ideal if you want to study a vocational course, but need to improve your literacy, numeracy and IT skills. It is a short course leading to a BTEC Workskills Certifi cate. You will gain valuable skills which will help get you on track for higher level courses.
