MOTOR VEHICLE Level 1 IMI Diploma in Light


Vehicle Maintenance You will learn about: motor vehicle technology, computer studies, workshop theory and practice. Careers advice and work experience is an important part of this course. You can choose to study this as a full-time (if unemployed), part-time day (if employed in a garage) or evening option.


Entry requirements: As well as some experience of motor vehicle maintenance, you will also need a satisfactory secondary education. Selection is by an interview and College assessment.

Level 2 IMI Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and


Repair Principles This course offers motor vehicle technology, workshop theory and practice in our well- equipped garage. The course also gives support in maths, communications and IT.


Entry requirements: Pass in Level 1 IMI Diploma or City & Guilds Level 1 with interview and College assessment.


Possible next steps: Level 3 IMI Diploma or employment.


As well as theoretical work, what our students love is the practical work fi xing cars, which they do in our onsite garage.


Level 3 IMI Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and


Repair Principles This course enables you to specialise in a number of specifi c areas of the motor vehicle industry. This is a diagnostic course covering engines, transmission and electronic systems.


Entry requirements: Level 2 IMI Diploma, City & Guilds Level 2 or suitable trade experience.


Possible next steps: Level 4 IMI Masters or garage management.
