Level 1 BTEC Certifi cate in Retail Knowledge The course will appeal to you if you are interested in developing an understanding of how businesses work and how they control their money. This course also offers ESOL support.

Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Business This is a practical, work-related course which includes learning about key issues faced by retailers in the modern world.
Entry requirements: Successful completion of the Level 1 BTEC Certifi cate in Retail Knowledge or 4 GCSEs at grade D-G.

28 Level 3 BTEC Diploma
in Business This is a one or two year course, depending on whether a Certifi cate or Diploma is chosen, for people who want to develop a thorough grounding in the business sector. The vast majority of students use the qualifi cation as a stepping stone to progress to the Higher National Certifi cate in business. It is equivalent to either 1 or 2 A Levels.
Entry requirements: Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Business or 4 GCSEs at grades A-C.
Possible next steps: HNC/D which we offer at the College, university or employment.
Level 3 BTEC Extended
Diploma in Business This intensive two-year course is the equivalent of three A Levels. It’s suitable for people who want to get a thorough grounding in the area of Business. The qualifi cation can also be used to progress to Degree courses.
Entry requirements: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above.
Possible next steps: University or employment.
