AS/A2 Psychology Psychology is an exciting bridge between the humanities and the sciences and is designed for people who want to develop psychological skills and knowledge which can be applied to real life situations. Topics include relationships, sleep and dreaming, social and personality development, individual differences and perspectives, cognitive and developmental psychology, physiological psychology and individual differences, social psychology and research methods.
Entry requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade A-C, including English preferably at grade B and one humanities subject.
Possible next steps: Higher Education or employment.
AS/A2 Sociology The AS Level focuses on an introductory insight into sociology. You will learn how people form their identities - in particular around gender, social class, ethnicity and age - as well as an in-depth study of youth culture. The A2 Level will help you to get a more critical and theoretical understanding of society. You’ll learn how life chances are affected by society’s institutions and undertake an in-depth study of the family and British education system.
