HELPING YOU BE A SUCCESS
Sammiha Afrin is studying law at Westminster University with her sociology, law and English A Levels. She said “thank you to everyone at HCC. The environment and the support between teachers and students is fantastic!”
Habibur Rahman went to Queen Mary University after achieving A grades in law, biology and classics A Levels. These complement the A* he achieved in the previous year at HCC in economics. Alongside his studies, Habibur worked as a student ambassador for the college. He said “Thank you to everybody at HCC who supported me and helped me with this achievement.”
Young HCC Carpentry and Joinery student Billy Emerton was recognised as an emerging talent after winning a silver medal at the prestigious Apprentice Skills Showcase. The Level 1 student demonstrated outstanding ability which impressed the judges at the regional construction skills competition.
A group of nine Performing Arts and Circus Skills students aged 16-18 performed in the event of a lifetime at the Olympic Opening Ceremony. The Ceremony was viewed by around 3.5billion people from all over the world!
Three HCC Sports students became the fi rst graduates of a national programme which recognises sporting excellence in young athletes. “I’m very proud of myself. Thanks to the tutors for all their support” said one of the students, Ayende Jamal Lewis.
