LINKING YOU TO WORK/HIGHER STUDY
Our links with major employers and agencies puts you in a strong position to get a great job after your studies. Our Careers and Employment Advisers offer free, confi dential and impartial advice and support on education, training and employment opportunities. The team will also provide you with motivational support and help with setting and achieving your career goals. Plus, our team works closely with top universities to offer you support; such as how to apply for a university place and an annual HE Fair.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Groups of students, or staff and students, can bid for funds to subsidise activities. We have a dedicated enrichment team who will organise a range of activities. These include sports programmes, healthy and cultural events, trips (such as paintballing), and much more.

atmosphere in the college” Michael-James Gaye
RESPECT •
• •
If you’re going to succeed, you need to take College seriously.
You must attend 100% of your timetabled lessons including tutorials and functional skills.
You must be punctual; that means if your lesson starts at 9am – you need to be in your class, with your books, notes, pens and materials ready before 9am.
•
Your behaviour should be respectful and civilised at all times. You’ll be given a student diary during induction which clearly marks out what behaviour is expected from you. In return, you’ll get respect from all College staff.
SPORTS ACADEMIES
Our successful sports Academies programme was awarded the London Education Partnership Award in 2011. Our four sports Academies: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket and Football, give you the chance to combine professional standard training with academic study. The Academies’ performance is consistently outstanding, and our very best sports men and women go on to represent their country!
•
You must complete all your homework and assignments properly and on time. Expect to spend 5–10 hours on homework each week, so organise your time so you can do this.
• Use your Individual Learning Plan to improve your grades. This process will help you to become independent and to be aware of your strengths and areas you need to develop.
• Book your holidays outside of term time.
• Revise and prepare for your exams and fi nal course submissions.
