FINANCES
If you’re aged 16-18 and are a home student* you don’t have to pay a tuition fee for FE courses. We will advise you of any additional fi nancial support that is available to you – including student loans for HE courses.
* Living in the UK or European community without any restrictions for the last three years and have been a British citizen for the last three years.
CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU (CRB)
Some courses require that you do a work placement where you will be working with children or vulnerable adults. As we’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of these individuals, you will need to have an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure if you will be going on such a work placement. The College will pay for this as you are under 18.
FREE TRAVEL
If you’re aged 16-17 and in full-time education or on a work-based learning scheme, as long as you live within a London borough, you can travel for free on London buses, and at a reduced rate on other London transport.
CHILDCARE
Our One World nursery gives a nursery place or a childminder for your child while you study (subject to availability and funding). We can also support you with applications for Care to Learn, which provides fi nancial support for teenage parents who want to continue in, or are returning to learning.
“I like the College because it’s a fun and lovely
environment to learn.” Samson Ayoade
