Character unveils new Angry Birds Star Wars Plush

Character Options, UK Distributor of the Angry Birds Plush Collection has confi rmed that it will be launching a brand new Stars Wars version of the cult soft toy line. The Angry Birds Star Wars game launches 8th November, with Character’s Plush launch following swiftly behind. On sale from mid- November, the initial collection will include fi ve favourite characters; Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Stormtroopers, Princess Leia and the ultimate intergalactic villain...Darth Vader! Each Star Wars character will be depicted in 5 inch plush, plus larger 8 and 12 inch counterparts, along with back pack clips. meaning the Angry Birds are also set to take playgrounds by storm. Jon Diver, commented: “Our plush line of Angry Birds has already been incredibly successful at retail for both toy and gift. As popular with adults as they are with children, they are a must have treat for the millions of fans of the game. “With the combination of everyone’s favourite app game characters, and the kudos and status that comes with Star Wars, there is little doubt that the new Angry Birds Star Wars soft toys will be highly sought after; especially as they launch just weeks before Christmas. Character Group master UK toy partner for Looney Tunes

Character Group Plc are to develop construction playsets and micro-fi gures for Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ Looney Tunes under its Character Building banner. The three year deal will also see

the leading toy company develop and manufacture a brand new collection of Motion Sensor Plush that will truly bring the classic Looney Tunes characters to life in addition to a collection of fi gures, playsets and further traditional plush lines.

Paul Bufton, General Manager, Warner Bros. Consumer Products UK says: ‘It was our ambition to secure a master toy partner for each of our classic animated properties and this deal with Character, who have delivered huge success on Scooby-Doo, completes this toy strategy. Ourfocus now shifts to securing similar manufacturing and distribution partnerships in all key regional markets.’ Jon Diver, Joint Managing Director, The Character Group, commented: ‘The

Golden Bear master toy licensee for In The Night Garden

With products set to be release in autumn/ winter 2013, Golden Bear have been appointed to develop plush, plastic toys,

play sets, role-play, developmental toys and fi gures as part of the master toy and nursery licence for pre-school property In The Night Garden. Barry Hughes, commercial director at Golden Bear, said: ‘In The Night Garden will be the perfect addition to our portfolio and we at Golden Bear have thoroughly enjoyed working with Ragdoll in developing this toy collection.’ Richard Hollis, Head of UK Licensing for BBC Worldwide, said: ‘Golden Bear
