I’ve been involved in making and the marketing of makers for nearly 20 years. Having started professional life as a maker with a degree in ceramics, I changed direction and became a craft development officer then craft gallery owner and, for the last 10 years, I have been organising large craft fairs in Bovey Tracey and at Tredegar House in South Wales. To say the market has changed is a massive understatement. The advent of the internet and social media has given more power to the individual than ever before.
