Learning, Teaching, Research and Knowledge Exchange Learning and Teaching, Research and Knowledge Exchange

Supporting the delivery of excellent teaching and a positive learning experience relies on staff who are themselves supported with access to a wide range of development opportunities. This section offers something for all Academic staff, whether new to teaching, experienced or seeking to enhance their practice.

Academic colleagues will also find relevant sessions for general personal development in the ‘All Staff’ section.

What are my development options?

Depending on your experience and how long you have been in post, options differ.

As a minimum: • All new Academic staff (including Sessional staff) should attend Orientation and the Introduction to Teaching Induction (see pages 6 and 7).

• Staff new to HE level teaching should register for the PGCLT (HE) - see page 26.

• All Academic staff should undertake some form of CPD through workshops, study groups, conferences and pedagogic

research.

If you cannot find what you need, please email: staff.development@canterbury.ac.uk or the relevant contacts for Research, Knowledge Exchange or Learning and Teaching (see page 5).
