Personal Development


Life at Canterbury Christ Church University offers staff many diverse opportunities to network, learn new skills or share knowledge.

Employee Development Fund


The Employee Development Fund is open to University staff paid between spine points 1-11, employed for 15 or more hours per week. The fund gives staff the opportunity to take part in learning activities outside normal working hours, and to find a course of their choice and will be funded for up to £150 per academic year.

Volunteer - Make a Difference


Have you ever thought of supporting the local community by volunteering? There are many opportunities to volunteer such as fundraising, mentoring young people, school governors, helping local charities – the list is endless.

Wellbeing


The University offers a huge range of activities to get involved with sport and physical activity, including various sports clubs and facilities to a full range of fitness equipment to suit all individuals such as our climbing wall, treadmills, rowers, resistance machines, weight bars and benches. We also offer a variety of group activities from Yoga to Zumba, Spin to Pilates.

Try something new for £1!


Trysport is the University’s initiative to provide informal sporting opportunities to staff for just £1 per session. Funded by Sport England, activities take place over 5 weeks and enable you to try sports such as sailing, climbing, golf, tennis, surfing and much more! Sessions run at every campus throughout the year.
