MOSAIC is a personal development programme to help you make the most of your potential and overcome barriers to success. It is a good springboard for those looking to move forward, not sure in which direction to go.

Mentoring
Mentoring is a much valued and important element of supporting staff, particularly for new staff through peer or buddy mentors.
To support staff acting as mentors we provide a Mentoring board on CLIC Learn (VLE), training and advice. To join, email:

Overview of peer mentoring - what it is and is not; what makes an effective peer-mentor; boundaries and expectations; how you can get involved.

Getting Started in Mentoring Brief outline:
Introductory session aimed at developing skills, knowledge and understanding to support the peer mentoring role.
What you can expect to learn:
• An understanding of reflective practice and how to employ it • Contemporary theory and practice of mentoring • Effective skills to support the mentoring role • Managing boundaries and expectations.

Project Management
An Introduction to Effective and Practical Project Management Techniques Target audience:
Any member of staff wanting an introduction to project management techniques that they can apply either to current projects or to use project management techniques in a general sense to better plan and manage workloads.
Brief outline:
The workshop will be practical and participative using a combination of inputs, individual and small group work and exercises/simulations. The key focus is helping participants to be able to transfer learning from the event directly back to their workplace.
What you can expect to learn:
• A straightforward model for successful project management applicable to “real life” situations
• Key project management tools and techniques; the “toolbox”
• Some key principles for successful projects and improved project management skills
• How to identify and document an action plan to transfer your learning directly to “real life”.
