V10 BIKE WINS DREAM MACHINES BIKE OF THE YEAR Bond’s favourite motor

Sir Roger Moore, who famously played 007 in the James Bond film series, visited Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum’s BOND IN MOTION exhibition recently to celebrate the launch of the BOND 50 Blu-ray Collection, which showcases all 22 classic films on Blu-ray together for the first time, with a dossier of over 122 hours of bonus features to mark James

Bond’s golden anniversary. Sir Roger confessed his favourite car was the Citroen 2CV from “For Your Eyes Only”!

The 2012 season of Coles Miller Dream Machines ended on a high despite the rain, with hundreds of die-hard bikers and spectators arriving to enjoy the season finale in September. Open to winners of the weekly “Bike of the Night” heats during 2012, the finale saw 19 bikes competing for the Bike of the Year prize. First place and the David ‘Midge’ Holloway Trophy went to Allen Millyard with his Millyard Viper V10. Allen said: “I

was amazed to win and really proud to receive the trophy! I love getting the bike out on the road, it always attracts crowds wherever it goes and loads of questions – I was hoarse by the end of the evening! Poole Quay is a great venue and it was fantastic to be chosen as the people’s favourite.” Dream Machines returns in April 2013.

The Goodwood Revival 2012 was an excellent weekend again this year, offering some exciting, wheel-to-wheel motor racing, historic aircraft, vintage fashion, music and dancing. Track highlights included a remarkable RAC TT Celebration Race (won by Martin Brundle), an action-packed St Mary’s Trophy, the magnificent Silver Arrows and a weekend-long tribute to the legendary

Dan Gurney. The Shelby Cup produced a hard-fought battle between the AC Cobras and the Ferrari 250 GTOs brought visitors a truly unique and (in value terms) priceless sight.
