Albert lives alone with his beloved honey bees on Dartmoor, a mysterious land where nothing is as it seems. One day a stranger appears and steals Albert’s bees and it’s as though the light has gone from Albert’s world. But a second visitor comes to his cottage, a little Pisky, called Mazymeg. She promises to find his bees, for she knows who the stranger is… Dark Dewer, the wicked wizard.


Weaving threads of Devon folklore, an original soundtrack and shape-shifting puppetry, join Angel Heart and lose your way with Mazymeg in their most enchanted show yet. Tickets cost £6. Performances are at 11am and 2pm.

THE LIGHTS, ANDOVER Deep in the forest, by the banks of a great river, lived a large crocodile. He was a very selfish crocodile and he wouldn’t share this river with any of the other creatures. He thought it was his river! So, the animals stayed away. But, one day there was a terrible scream; the crocodile had toothache! Nobody dared to help him, until a brave little mouse found a clever way to solve this snappy dilemma. This is a funny, heart-warming tale with a very happy


Storytellers use song, music and a host of beautiful puppets to bring with watery adventure to life. This is a must-see show for 3 - 7 year olds, and of course, anybody with a pet crocodile! Tickets are available from £6.50. The performance is at 11am.

Santa Parade


DOLPHIN SHOPPING CENTRE, POOLE The much loved Dolphin Shopping Centre and Poole Town Centre Partnership Santa Parade is back this year and better than ever before! Taking place on Sunday 18 November from 10am, it will include Christmas themed entertainment for the whole family. The free event is a feast for the eyes with celebrity appearances, live reindeer, fun characters, chocolate treats, balloons, music, dancing and of course Father Christmas himself. Cast members from


Lighthouse’s Aladdin Panto will be part of the celebrations as well as the Mayor of Poole, Councillor Carol Evans. The parade celebrates the arrival of Santa to his grotto in the Dolphin Shopping Centre until Christmas Eve. A new addition to the parade this year is the Julia’s House Santa Shuffle, which sees hundreds of Santas racing in aid of the local children’s hospice.

A Victorian Festival of Christmas


PORTSMOUTH HISTORIC DOCKYARD, PORTSMOUTH The cornucopia of Victorian characters, gift stalls and family entertainment will return from Friday 30 November to Sunday 02 December.


Visit the annual festive event to see


a traditional Father Christmas dressed in green, food markets and the largest Christmas market on the South Coast. There’s also sumptuous Fagin’s Tavern, colourful characters including chimney sweeps, strumpets and much more! For a small additional charge there


will be all the fun of the fair with the beautiful Gallopers Merry-Go-Round and Chair-O-Plane rides and stalls including Hook-a-Duck! This wonderful event runs from 10am-6pm. Please note that entry to this event is not included in the entry price to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, with prices starting from £14.
