As well as a mouth-watering meal, you can also be assured of a warm welcome at this historic pub which is over 300 years old.

A new menu has just been launched with tempting starters including old favourites like prawn cocktail and innovative dishes including ratatouille terrine.

Tere is something for everyone with the main courses. Tey include sea bass on a bed of roasted fennel, lamb shank with red wine and rosemary gravy and a mushroom wellington in a leek sauce.

As if that was not enough, there’s also a range of salads and pizzas.

Daisy contacted Jamie Oliver and before she knew it, she had an interview with the legendary Chris Galvin and began working at Galvin at Windows. But being Hemel born and bred, Daisy was keen to bring her skills back to her hometown.

I want people to spend hours here and for it not to have felt like it. We’re about good food in a nice environment. “

Landlord Ian Fender says the food is cooked with passion and love and after talking with the affable landlord, it quickly became clear that this passion is transferred to the pub as a whole.

Ian said: “When my wife Claire and I arrived here 18 months ago, it wasn’t fit for human occupation in the client area and above was uninhabitable. But this place is a passion for me and I want to see it here for another 300 years.”

With the Olde Leather Bottle establishing strong ties in the village, fortunately it seems that the pub is here to stay.
