In the absence of Premiership and Championship football on October 13, the club is welcoming football fans of all levels to the club for their Evo-Stik Southern clash against Bedworth United, offering free entry to anyone who has a season ticket at a Premiership or Football League club.

Te event comes as top-flight football is scheduled to be suspended for the weekend, as England are to play San Marino at home in a 2014 World Cup Qualifying game on October 12. With a limited amount of fixtures on over the weekend, the Tudors are hoping to pry away fans that travel regularly to Premiership matches, as well as those who attend Football League games.

“We decided to take part so that people not going to top-flight games get the chance to see their local team instead,” club corporate director Tony Conway told My Hemel News. “We are giving away free entrance to some but hopefully they will be supporting the team so they can be the 12th man.”

“Tere are people who may have not yet been to a non- league game so we are trying to show them that there is not just Premiership and Championship football, there is a good level of football to be seen at non-league as well,” he added. “It is also time for fans to get onto the terrace in the fresh air instead of watching football on TV. You can really get close to the players, which you don’t get at Premiership games anymore.”

In order to qualify for free entry on the day, take suitable identification or a season ticket to show at the turnstiles.
