3 GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified Achieve LEED® Credits With Hamilton Sorter Products


All Hamilton Sorter products are GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certified. Our products are made from an Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) which contains 100% recycled and recovered wood waste or fiber generated from wood residue, including sawdust and shavings (100% pre-consumer).


Hamilton Sorter products meet and exceed the following requirements for LEED-CI (commercial interiors) and LEED for Schools and are applicable to tenant improvement of new or existing office space and could help you achieve the following credits on your project.


Materials and Resource 4.1 RECYCLED CONTENT,


10% (POST-CONSUMER + 1⁄2 PRE-CONSUMER)


4.2 RECYCLED CONTENT, 20% POST-CONSUMER + 1⁄2 PRE-CONSUMER)


4.5 LOW-EMITTING MATERIALS, SYSTEMS FURNITURE AND SEATING


LEED Requirements


Sum of post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10% (based on cost) of the total value of the materials in the project.


Sum of post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 of the pre-consumer content constitutes an additional 10% beyond MR Credit 4.1 (total of 20%, based on cost) of the total value of the materials in the project.

Depending on your project’s location, Hamilton products may be able to contribute to these additional points. 5.1 REGIONAL MATERIALS, 10% MANUFACTURED REGIONALLY Building materials or products that have been extracted,


harvested or recovered, as well as manufactured, within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% (based on cost of the total materials value).


5.2 REGIONAL MATERIALS, 20% MANUFACTURED REGIONALLY

500 miles of the project site for an additional 10% beyond MR credit 5.1 (total of 20% based on cost) of the total materials.
