14 Joseph Berumen Students


Joseph Berumen, an 8th grade student at Hillview Middle School has been selected to be one of our honored “Amazing Huskies.” Recently Joseph went to New York City for a baseball tournament. The highlight of his time in New york was that he hit 4 home runs! Joseph said that his favorite baseball player is Russel Martin from the New York Yankees. Martin is a catcher just like him. Joseph isn’t all about baseball though. He also enjoys other sports too, such as volleyball. He is currently playing on the 8th grade Hillview volleyball team. Even though Joseph has a love for sports, he hopes to one day be a police officer.

How many years have you played baseball? Approximately 8 years Who inspired you to play baseball? My dad and my coach What is your team name? Smash!!! What city do you play for? West Covina How was New York? It was pretty good and fun I got to go see a Yankee game. How many games did you win? We won 6 games and lost 1
