Alternatively, move away from the account by creating a gmail account and it can be yours for life and at no cost. We can help. Beware McAfee users. Last week we were called to at least 6 different computers with McAfee provided by BT in their NetProtect package. We were called because the internet had stopped working. After trying absolutely everything to resolve the issue, it was fixed every single time by removing McAfee. What good is an anti-virus that stops you using the internet? Just goes to show that “free” still isn’t necessarily best! On the same subject, beware of


upgrading your anti-virus to any Internet Security package. This is because if you were networking before to other computers or network printers, there is a real possibility that all that will be stopped. Each of these products regardless of who makes it, comes with their own firewall over and above the one provided on your computer and it always shuts this sort of thing down. If in doubt at renewal time, give us a call. Once again, beware of friends or family “helping out” with your computer. The number of times we have been called
