Tavistock Musical Theatre Company present
‘MAD ABOUT MUSICALS!’ At The Wharf Theatre, Tavistock
THURSDAY 1st & FRIDAY 2nd NOVEMBER 7.30PM A Sizzling Selection from the Greatest Shows!
Tavistock Musical Theatre Company was formed in 1955 when the company was known as the Tavistock Amateur Operatic Society. Over the years the Company has presented over sixty major musicals together with countless concerts, plays and revues.
All the early shows played to packed houses in the Town Hall attracting long queues for tickets when the Box Office opened. The musicals presented over the years (to list but a few) include the first Mikado in 1955, Oklahoma, Brigadoon, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors, Annie and more recently, the highly successful productions The King & I, My Fair Lady, South Pacific, Calamity Jane, Fiddler on The Roof, Anything Goes, Mack & Mabel, Sweet Charity and last year’s widely acclaimed production of Lionel Bart’s best-loved musical “Oliver.”
The latest production from the Company is “Mad About Musicals!” which will bring you all the best songs from your favourite musicals by composers such as Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Gilbert & Sullivan, George & Ira Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Queen, Abba and many more.
