Sunflower Day Nurseries outstanding in all areas of inspection 2012

LOOKING for a Nursery in Newton Abbot that is new and different, with an outstanding provenance? Well you have just found it. Sunflower Day Nurseries have come to Newton

Abbot. We already own an outstanding nursery in Crediton, and now we are doing the same here at The Racecourse, and at Courtenay Park, right in the heart of the Town. Both Nurseries have been revamped both have exceptional staff, and great facilities. We want you to come and take a fresh look at what we have already accomplished, as well as listening to our plans for the future. If you already had an opinion about these nurseries before we took over, it’s now time to take a new approach. We do not sit on our laurels; we do work hard to create an environment that suits your needs as a busy parent, and the early years education for your child. No gimmicks here, just hard working, caring

St Margaret’s School Exeter – ‘More than just an education’

THE core value of St Margaret’s School is that each person is unique and respected. We believe that all our pupils have talents and strengths that we encourage them to discover, develop and celebrate. Our small size allows us to get to know each pupil and to support and explore with them the subjects and activities that excite and enthuse them.

Once a child experiences the thrill of

achievement, their confidence grows and this fires success in other areas. Our most senior girls in the Sixth Form are articulate, passionate, confident and spirited young ladies. In 2012, our Upper Sixth gained places at Oxford, and qualified for courses such as Medicine. We also delighted in the personal

professional staff leading an experience for your children that will enhance their lives for the future, and give you peace and assurance that they will be safe, secure and educated appropriately.

Both

settings have a pre-school area, which follows closely to the early years curriculum set out by Ofsted. We want your custom. We are flexible to your needs, and can accommodate shift patterns or other difficulties you may have. Importantly, we, the new owners, are parents of young children ourselves, and live and breathe Early years. Come and have a look at us, choose the right child care setting for your family. We offer discounts for siblings, free places for three and four year olds, and a wealth of experience. Take a look at both settings, one of them will suit

your needs. For more information please call either Courtenay

Park Nursery and speak to Sue on 01626 333323 or The Racecourse Nursery on 01626 334070 and speak to Maggie.

We specialise in Pilates, rehabilitation and body preservation particularly for the aging athlete who

wish to continue participating in their particular sporting activity, or hobby.

‘However you don’t have to be an aging fitness

fanatic to enjoy Pilates as everyone can benefit from the exercises. G.H.Fitness run beginner Pilates, bad back basic Pilates and power Pilates and sports specific Pilates for the advanced participants. The basic Pilates sessions are ideal for people who are coming back after injury or, perhaps have been referred on from their physio, osteopath or chiropractor.’

The Pilates technique is ideal for clients wanting a self-help programme of exercises, which will eliminate niggling aches and pains caused by stress, over training, or in some peoples’ cases total inactivity. achievements of girls who gained grades way above those which their natural abilities would suggest, and then going on to study courses as diverse as Architecture or Agri-Business. Equally, the same group of girls taught Kick-Boxing to trainee teachers in India, sang in Westminster Abbey or gained their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

St Margaret’s belief in the value of each

individual goes beyond the academic realm. It refers to respecting and caring for each other. We insist in the ‘St Margaret’s Way’; good manners, showing empathy, keeping patient. The calm, happy, family atmosphere extends from the Nursery through to the Sixth Form. We have an excellent pastoral system to ensure each pupil’s welfare is catered for. Children help each other; pupils from the all- girls Senior School often act as mentors or ‘buddies’ to the boys and girls of the Junior School. There is a superb Learning Support structure to cater for the individual learning needs of our pupils. St Margaret’s School is part of the Woodard Group of Schools, a family of 19 independent schools. In this way we have the benefits of being a small school where each child is known and cherished, with the security and support of the Woodard Group. We have a Christian Foundation but we are inclusive of all faiths or of none.

Our approach is for pupils to aspire to be the best they can be. We value individual qualities in all spheres so that each young person discovers their niche and is able to excel and achieve. Most recently, our pupils have won

Rotary National Awards in Cooking, and the Saatchi International Awards in Art. Pupils gain places in county and national sports squads, win photography competitions, perform on the West End and gain excellent examination results. St Margaret’s is more than just an education. It is an approach that nurtures, challenges and cares for each individual.
