PROFOIL CHOOSES FIT SHOW FOR TRADE SHOW DEBUT “Te FIT Show will be completely different

Profoil has been leading the way in innovative and specialised foil lamination for more than 16 years, yet the FIT Show will mark its trade show debut as the Kettering-based company looks to make contact with new customers who may never have come across their growing brand.

Profoil - the longest established, privately-

owned trade lamination company in the window and building products industry - will

be showcasing the very latest developments and techniques in the lamination marketplace. It will also be introducing a number of new foils and processes within its dedicated field. Additionally, a selection of its products will be displayed on the exhibition stands of those existing customers who are also taking part in this inaugural event. Managing Director Colin Deans explained the decision to use Te FIT Show for its trade show debut.

from trade shows of the past as it offers a new venue, cost-effective stand space and has already managed to persuade a significant number of high-quality companies, alongside Profoil, to exhibit, something which is guaranteed to pull in the crowds.

“Hopefully the organisers can try and establish the FIT Show as the industry’s new flagship exhibition.”

Dungannon Window Company (DWC), one of Ireland’s leading sliding sash window manufacturers for the past 25 years, will be crossing the waters and taking part in the FIT Show as the company looks to raise its company profile and break into the UK market.

DWC has been exhibiting at trade shows

across Ireland for more than a decade, and have regularly secured a significant number of trade leads. Tey now see Te FIT Show as

an ideal platform to launch products such as ‘Eurosash’ to a brand new audience.

Managing Director Tom Givans says that the FIT Show stands out from rival trade shows:

“We have been looking at various exhibitions across the UK and feel that Te FIT Show will create the start of a revival for the window industry as this is something that has been missed for the last few years.

Already with a year still to go there is a vibe about this show, one which we are very excited to be a part of.

“Exhibiting at the FIT Show will ensure our name gets known in the UK. Having our product on an exhibition stand will enable visitors to get an up close understanding of the window and see its superiority.”

Mixing business with a little fun is something The FIT Show has achieved from the start – and nothing proves the case more than the musical talents of warm edge specialist Edgetech’s UK Sales Director, Alan “Lloyd Webber” Fielder.

As you might expect, it was after a couple of pints that Alan was asked by FIT Show director Paul Godwin if he would like to write a FIT Show song. Two days later, not only had Alan written a tune and lyrics, but he had also recorded a video of himself performing the new ditty!

Paul admitted that the suggestion was made in the knowledge that Alan had the talent: “I have known Alan for some years and have seen some other songs he composed and performed. But this proves what an amazing talent he has! If he can write about a trade show for windows, doors and conservatories he can write about anything. Pete Waterman, watch out!”

Alan’s response was typically modest: “I’ve often unintentionally made an exhibition of myself and after all, an alcohol-inspired challenge is still a challenge!”

Alan’s composition is just the tip of the FIT Show musical iceberg, which will feature an ensemble of the industry’s musical talent performing (almost) live at Te FIT Show Gala Dinner, to take place on the Wednesday night at the event (April 16th, 17th, 18th 2013). Rumours are already circulating that Sir Bob Geldof is involved although how many glass and glazing industry contacts he has is unknown. Te

full line up will, however, remain a closely guarded secret until nearer the event in a bid to cause as little (more) disruption throughout the industry as possible.

As we went to press, Clearview could not confirm that there will be any Royal presence at the Show.
