CAP Gemini continue amazing support for MAA
Last year saw the Accelerated Development Academy (ADA) project team from CAP Gemini present a cheque for £9,000 to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The team at CAP Gemini were tasked with working with the Assets, Charities and Employees (ACE) programme and over the last twelve months developed a dedicated portal site and campaign to promote and sell old kit to employees for the Charity.
Working with the Asset Management team to cleanse the kit of secure data; ADA matched machines to employees who in turn made a donation to the chosen Charity for 2011 – Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Lou Hosker, Lead Sponsor for the ADA programme says, “The ACE programme is a fantastic way to support local charities and with the focus of the ADA team combined with the generosity of Aspire employees, we have raised over £9,000 to support the work of Midlands Air Ambulance.
Changes to the Fundraising Team
Jackie Martin who has been with the charity for 17 years has decided to retire to spend more time with her new grand daughter.
Jackie has witnessed huge changes to the Charity and has also been a great supporter to our cause and all her colleagues. Hanna Sebright CEO said “Jackie has been there at almost every step of the way, she will be sorely missed by everyone. Jackie’s contribution cannot be underestimated, she has formed a vital part of what makes MAA so special, I would like to personally thank her and wish her a very busy retirement no doubt”
After nearly 3 years working with MAA, Corporate Fundraising Manager Stef Langford-Brown recently moved on from the Charity to focus her time developing the family run business. Stef has been a pivotal part in the successful growth of corporate fundraising and the inception of key events like bike 4 Life. MAA wish her every success in her new challenge and thank her for her signifi cant contribution.
Lastly Midlands Air Ambulance is happy to announce that Jo Bailey will join MAA covering the Staffordshire area as the Regional Fundraising Manager. Jo brings a wealth of regional, commercial and local experience and will be a huge asset to the Charity.
Through 2012 CAP Gemini continued with the scheme with the intention of beating the 2011 fi gure and we are delighted to announce that over £10,000 has been raised through the scheme this year. Jason Levy, Fundraising Director at Midlands Air Ambulance said, “The partnership with CAP Gemini has provided vital funds that go towards operational needs that will directly impact on saving lives. MAA and CAP Gemini are already looking forward to developing new ways of working together through engaging employees, the charity and operations; we are really excited about the future of this very special relationship”.
Sanctuary Group selects MAA Charity of Choice for 2012/13
Sanctuary Group, one of the most successful providers of housing and associated services in the UK has selected MAA as their chosen charity for 2012/13. The Worcestershire based company manages over 78,000 units of accommodation throughout England and Scotland, including general rented, sheltered, supported accommodation, student and key worker accommodation and care homes. MAA is looking forward to working in partnership with Sanctuary developing regional initiatives that will engage employee in activities all geared to raising vital funds for MAA. Since April over £1000 has been raised and lots more is planned in the coming months.
