September 2012— A peaceful place in the heart

Bob Neuman The youthful urgency to step past

time and learning has been replaced with patience and endurance though sometimes not in the strongest sense. There is a place in the heart, not a place where all wishes are granted. A song and a prayer in the heart are worth all the visual triumphs in the world. A rise from a deeper, more spiritual harmony erases all that was not quite right and presents a clearer picture of what is really worthwhile. American Indians call it “walking in a more sacred manner.” Joyce S Hifl er Even if I walk through a

very dark valley, I will not be afraid because You are with me. Your rod and your walking stick comfort me. Psalm 23:4 With great sadness we

announce the passing on July 25 of Elston Dibble, 92, loyal servant to the Lord. A loyal member of SLCC, he held many church positions. Elston was a WW II army veteran, skilled wood craftsman, and avid Diamondbacks fan. He will be truly missed. Many members of our congregation and

Praying, breathing and meditating September 7

Dr. Mary Meadows presents “Praying,

Breathing and Meditating” Friday, September 7, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Come at 5:30 for a healthy, light dinner. Learn how to empower your prayers

offi ce for

using the Breath. The Breath brings the Holy Spirit and opens our entrance into Divine Intelligence where we can lay our prayers on the altar. With your prayerful intent, the powers of the Divine can work a miracle for you. What fi lls your mind, fi lls your life. Pray without ceasing. The Breath is simple, but profound:

manages pain, changes acid PH to alkaline, cleanses

toxic emotional traumas, clears

negative thoughts, transmutes cellular memory, releases stress and inspires us to come into our full potential. Know that you hold the power of death and disease or life and health in your hands. Dr. Mary healed from multiple sclerosis,

cancer, heart disease and two near-death experiences. She founded and developed the Breath of Light out of her personal need to heal. Now she shares her knowledge with others. Dr. Mary will teach you this special breathing technique that is also available in a guided breathing meditation CD. You will be able to use this every day to heal yourself and your life. Come early at 5:30-6:30 for a light

dinner provided by Dr. Mary. Fill out your prayerful intention to offer during the Breath Meditation.
