IronOaks Breakers announces season six and league championship dates

David Mork, Godfather and Chairman of the IronOaks Billards League. Now that the tables in the IronOaks

Billiard Room have been recovered with a new blue baize, the IronOaks Breakers League has begun the sixth season of our inaugural year, which began July 30th and will end on September 30, 2012. We have organized three racks of play, two for 8-ball and one for 9-ball with at least eight players in each rack. The newest member, Bill Lange, is playing in both racks, and we also welcomed back Arlin Wesner, who has been unable to play since Season 2. Arlin is playing in rack 2 of 8-ball. Welcome to both! We are growing in membership with each season. Both of the members welcomed above have played pool in their youth, with Bill playing since he was in the military, and Arlin playing since he was very young! In order to accommodate the First

Annual IronOaks Breakers Pool League Championship, the League has reserved the IronOaks Billiard Room for the dates of November 1, 2 and 3 to host the 37 different individuals who won by placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each of the past fi ve seasons. We will have the 9-ball play downs on Thursday, November 1, and the 8-ball play downs on Friday, November 2, with the championship for both 8 and 9-balls on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Additional players may qualify in season six based on their play in the racks. All past winners are eligible, and we have had a tremendous response from those who are away from Sun Lakes this summer. They have responded with a resounding YES, I WILL BE BACK TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP! COUNT ME IN! We look forward to crowning our fi rst league champions in 8 and 9-ball. Come join us for the ticketed event! Recently, we have approved a set of

by-laws for the operation of the league. The offi cers, who are also directors of the League, are David “The Godfather” Mork, chief executive offi cer; Willie “The Wizard” Foster, chief operating offi cer and tournament director; Bill “The Silk’ Aune,

vice president and secretary, Bob “The Sword” Wilkinson, Chief Compliance Offi cer and Don “The Banker” Moelk, vice president and treasurer. These by-laws will govern the league tournaments, league play, league membership and the league promotions for the future. Thanks to those individuals who volunteered to serve the league! Now is the time to sign up for next

year’s play. New members will be ranked by their playing ability, and we are not gender specifi c. The new racks will be organized after the championship, beginning mid-November, 2012. We will, in the near future, limit the players to the fi rst 50 IronOaks residents who sign up and pay their nominal tournament entry fees. If you are interested in playing in the upcoming year, contact the Godfather/chairman of the Breakers League, David Mork, by email at cpacira@, or contact the tournament director, Willie
