What makes Sun Lakes so terrific?

Bob Rossow We all had our special reasons for

moving to Sun Lakes to make our golden years as wonderful as possible. Many of us moved to here to take part in the athletic activities. There are golf courses ranging from executive to championship. It also has fabulous tennis courts and a plethora of pools to satisfy anyone as well as gyms for keeping our bodies in shape. Some of us came to be part of the cultural activities, such as community theater, dance classes and recitals, art shows and many other enjoyable activities. Games of a more sedentary type include cards, mahjong and bunco. Still others enjoy trips to the theaters, casinos, ball games, etc. that are run by Sun Lakes. All these activities, plus very beautiful

houses at reasonable prices, seem reason enough for Sun Lakes to be a great place to live. However, the thing that makes this particular area so great is the type of people it attracts. This community attracts

nicest and most caring people anywhere. Not only is Sun Lakes full of organizations

such as Neighbors Who Care and the Community Assistance Program, but also charity organizations such as Rotary,

Lions, and Sun Lakes Charities. Even more important are the people who care on a personal basis. As this author has become extremely

ill, I have experienced an outpouring of kindness, sympathy, and offers to help me that are truly overwhelming. I have received so many cards that there is no more room to display them. Many of these cards contained donations to different charities. Phone calls by many people have poured into the house. Many of these people have offered to help out and when we called for help, they did in fact come to our aid. The concern by Sun Lakers has been marvelous. This is what makes Sun Lakes

extraordinary — the caring people who live here and have given their time, effort, and concern to help their neighbors and friends. That makes this community an outstanding community to spend your golden years. As a recipient of this caring, I would like to thank all who sent cards, called, visited, made donations and came by to help in my time of need. Their support was exactly what I needed. I will always be indebted to these caring people. Thank you people in Sun Lakes for your caring, concern and kindness. 
