London, England - In a world record setting tenth Olympic appearance, Canadian Olympic Team member for Show Jumping Ian Millar, 65, of Perth, ON, enjoyed a top ten plac- ing in the Individual Final held Wednesday, August 8. Finishing tied for ninth place riding Star Power with a total of eight faults, Millar had his best ever individual Olympic result. Tiffany Foster’s Olympic Dream Comes to an Unfortunate End


FEI clearly stated that


“there is no accusation of malpractice.” August 5, 2012, London, England – Canadian Olympic Team member for Show Jumping Tiffany Foster of Schomberg, ON, was disqualified from Olympic compe- tition on August 5.


Less than one hour before the start of team compe- tition, scheduled to commence at 11 a.m., FEI veterinari- ans entered the stall of Victor, the horse ridden by Fos- ter. Following a routine examination of the horse in its stall, Terrance Millar, Chef d’Equipe of the Canadian Olympic Team for Show Jumping, was informed that Foster was disqualified under the International Equestri- an Federation’s (FEI) hypersensitivity protocol. An official communication issued by the FEI read: “The Veterinary Commission have stated that the horse has an area of inflammation and sensitivity on the fore- limb just above the hoof. There is no accusation of mal- practice, but the horse has been deemed unfit to compete
