The close friend that will always listen to my rants.

Why did you join Twitter and how do you use it?

Because of this digital age we’re in – Twitter is a great platform to publicise my events and work, as well as a great tool to keep in touch.

Is there a direct link with spoken word and social media? There isn’t a direct link, but it is a useful tool for artists such as myself.

How have you utilised Twitter and made it work for you? I use Twitter to find out about upcoming spoken word events and opportunities. I also promote my work and let my followers know where I will be performing next.

Recommended #FFs? @basseyworldlive She is a great writer who always keeps her followers entertained. @sirjoshbennett One of the greatest wordsmiths of our time. @cornelwest An American philosopher/author/activist.

If Twitter was a meal, what would it be and why? A waffle with ice cream and Nutella – you know you shouldn’t, but you always do.

Finish off the line: If Facebook is your husband, Twitter is...

Do you follow anyone famous? I follow a number of famous poets because I appreciate the work that they do and want to find out more about them and their work. I also follow a number of musicians for the same reason.
