Gail Adams Gail Adams, 72, of Goodyear died July 25, 2012. Mrs. Adams was born June 17, 1940, in Salem, Ore. She spent her early years in Sweet Home and Salem. She moved with her family to Tillamook, Ore., in 1949. She attended Maple Leaf Elementary, Liberty Junior High School and Tillamook High School, graduating in 1958.


Silverio Vidal Arredondo Silverio Vidal “Flaco” Arredondo, 52, of Avondale died July 22, 2012. Mr. Arredondo was born June 20, 1960, in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. He moved to Arizona in 1982. He was a carpenter.


From June 1958 to March 1959, she attended Capitol Business School in Salem on a full scholarship. Upon completion, she moved to Portland, Ore., and worked for Massey-Ferguson Co. She then moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where her fiancé was stationed, and was hired by the Federal Aviation Agency on LADD Air Force Base.

She married her husband, John, on July 22, 1959, in the Chapel of Ladd Air Force Base. They retired to PebbleCreek in Goodyear in June 1996. She volunteered at Hopes Closet and Kare Bears. She is survived by one brother, Robert Fitzgerald of


He is survived by his wife, Alma; four daughters, Selena, Maribel, Angela and Claudia; two sons, Alejandro and Valentin; his parents, Vidal Arredondo Hernandez and Maria de Jesus Heredia; three sisters, Teresa, Patricia and Virginia; one brother, Jorge; and three grandchildren. A visitation will be at 10 a.m. today with a service at 11 a.m. at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, 522 E. Western Ave. in Avondale. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren St. in Phoenix. The Rev. Gustavo Arteaga will officiate.

Marvin Clyde Barrett Jr. Marvin Clyde Barrett Jr., 53, of Buckeye died July 21, 2012, at his home. Mr. Barrett was born Sept. 21, 1958, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Valcleta and Marvin Sr. He moved to Arizona as an infant and attended local schools. He worked at various farms in the West Valley, was a security guard at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and had a paper route. He is survived by his mother, Valcleta; one sister, Brenda Bruehl; two brothers, Wayne and David; five children, Wade, Jeremiah, Barndi, Carol-Ann and Michael; and several grandchildren.

Evangelista Del Sol Evangelista Del Sol, 79, of Avondale died July 26, 2012, at his home. Mr. Del Sol was born July 28, 1932, in Peoria to Marcos and Margarita. He is survived by his wife, Martha; three sons, Benny, Mark and Larry; four daughters, Irene, Anna, Terri and Margarita; 24 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and one brother, Ramon. Visitation will be from 5 to

Christine Marilyn Pace Christine “Chris” Marilyn Pace, 69, of Goodyear died July 17, 2012, in Goodyear. Mrs. Pace was born Feb. 18, 1943, in Englewood, N.J. She moved to Arizona in 1961. She was a bus driver for more than 35 years for schools in the West Valley. She retired from the Avondale Elementary District in 2003.


She was a member of the International Order of the Eastern Star and Past Bethel Guardian for Job’s Daughters. She is survived by her husband, Richard D.; one daughter, Christiana L.; and one son, Richard S.E.
