Husband and wife team, Silvia and Peter Thompson, bring with them awealth of expe- rience, as Peter has been agreengrocer for 10 years and Silvia has been aflorist for 18 years. The couple, who have another shop in


Surrey,are combining their skills at Krunchy Karrot to offer even morefor customers. Peter travels to Covent Garden daily to col-


lect arange of fresh fruit and vegetables for customers, while also picking up special requests for people looking for unusual items. Alongside its fresh fruit and vegetables, which arebigger and better than what you can find in supermarkets -all at an inexpen- sive price -the shop also stocks Tiptree


honey,Mrs Darlington’sjams, chutney,lemon curdand pickled onions and baby beetroot, James White’sfresh fruit juices, fresh and dried herbs, dried fruits, cereal bars and snack packs of nuts, as well as fat balls and seeds for birdlovers. Flowers and plants arealso their speciality


and customers can choose from awide range of indoor and bedding plants, shrubs and cut flowers, and bouquets for arange of occasions. Silvia’sdad, who has anursery in Nazeing and has been growing high quality bedding plants for 30 years, will also be deliv- ering plants during the season, up to three times aweek. As well as its spectacular opening event,


the storewill also be marking its arrival in town every Saturday up until the second Saturday in August. Staffwill be dressing up as fruits and vegetables and heading out around Wickfordtown centretogive away free samples of their delicious ranges to passersby. If you haven’talready tried what Krunchy
