Get exploring the great outdoors this summer
Countryparks
THERE are so many parks and nature reserves to explore throughout the area so there is no need to stay indoors this summer. There are atotal of four country parks in
the borough including The Wick, Queens Park, Langdon Hills and Wat Tyler Country Park –winner of an Environmental Awareness business award last year. On top of these there are several nature reserves to explore including Mill Meadows, Nevendon Bushes, Noak Bridge, Norsey Woods and Vange Hill, all
of which have something different to offer in peaceful surroundings. If you want to venture further afar then Essex Wildlife Trust -the county’s leading conservation charity -manages and pro- tects more than 7,250 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and two nature parks, while running seven visitor centres.
