Sales Snapshot
Average retail tickets above $300 increased from the numbers in the previous issue, which covered February. Retailers cite an uptick in autosound package sales, specifically subwoofers, amplifiers and marine audio — an indication that they’ve put the weak remote start season behind them and focused on spring and summer sellers. At the same time, April represented a slowdown from March for one-third of respondents. “Audio upgrades came very early this year,” said one respondent. “April slowed down a bit, but hopefully March was the forecast to set us up for a great summer.”
