Birkmyre RFC has a new President After a magnifi cent 3 years as President Willie Carruth has stepped
down and handed the mantle on to Wallace Muir with John Black (also a coach) as his Deputy. The players and the club in general owe Willie a huge debt of gratitude for his tireless work driving the club forward. We are all behind Wallace and the committee to continue and build on his hard work.

The speakers and our very own Bobby Carruth as MC were hilarious.
Moving forward to playing matters. After a
disappointing last season, Birkmyre are now raring to go for the new one. After a call to arms at the AGM by President Wallace (somehow still playing!) and coaches John Black and Ian Foster (Fozzy), we have seen some new blood at arrive at summer touch, John, Gregor and Alex are most welcome. We are also very happy to see the return of ex captain David Armour from America’s East Coast and Nelly Campbell even talking about a long awaited run out.
With full fi rst team training starting in the coming weeks, we are still looking for as many new players as possible – especially tight fi ve forwards! So if you have played before (however long ago!) and fancy joining the best social club in Scotland, get your boots and join us at Birkmyre Park, Knockbuckle Road, Kilmacolm every Tuesday at 7.30pm.
If you are interested in playing please contact Jon Harris on 07960 151015 or team manager Peter Haveron on 07815 090839.
