Look Good...Feel Better


801-483-1500 or 1-800-234-0533 www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org This is a community-based, free, national service sponsored by the American Cancer Society. It teaches female cancer patients beauty tips to feel good about how they look during treatments. Women learn about makeup, skin care, nail care, and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves. Participants get a free makeup kit. Held in many locations throughout Utah.

NCI is the government agency that coordinates cancer research. Through their website, telephone, and online resources, NCI offers cancer information, clinical trials listings, and brochures.


National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS)


1-877-NCCS-Yes (622-7937) www.canceradvocacy.org NCCS provides education and support to cancer survivors and caregivers. They offer a free audio program, The Cancer Survivor Toolbox, and a searchable cancer resource guide. Survivors can share their own advocacy efforts online.


National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)

NCCN is an alliance of U.S. cancer centers. They develop cancer treatment guidelines for doctors and patients and have a physician referral directory.


Needs Beyond Medicine


801-783-8580 www.needsbeyondmedicine.org This group is dedicated to diminishing the burden of cancer by increasing awareness, education, and relief to cancer patients. They offer assistance through educational and financial support.
