The presentation will include, but is not limited to, a discussion regarding board member chairmanship of the architectural/design review committee in a planned community, the requirement for the arc committee to follow a detailed design review process, restrictions on the association’s use of a security deposit for
new construction and rebuilds of the main residence in a planned community, and clarifications of signage in planned communities and condominiums. Additionally, the attorney will guide participants through an easy to understand overview of the federal laws governing community associations. Participants will receive the Mulcahy 2012 Legislative Update Cheat Sheet and have the opportunity to ask questions one on one of a community association attorney and get answers free of charge.
