Miss Freestone
Vying for the title, “Miss Freestone County 2012” on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Fairfield High School Auditorium are four charming and lovely ladies: Alexandra Lea Bricker, Fruncheska Daniels, Valeria Fernandez, and Kristin Nicole Shaw. Alexandra Lea Bricker, Fairfield High
School Junior, is active in marching band, concert band, FFA, volleyball, softball, and she is a twirler. She enjoys hog hunting with her family, which includes parents, JoAnne and Joey Latham.
Alexandra also likes deer hunting,
fishing, shopping, camping, traveling, and hanging with friends. Tarleton State University is her college of choice where she will study Sports Medicine.
Watching storms go by is a favorite
pastime of Fruncheska Daniels, 18 year old graduate of Fairfield High School. This fall she will enter Tarleton State University. Eventually, she plans to get a doctorate degree in pre-nursing and become an OB. During her high school years, she participated in volleyball and basketball. She was a member of FCA, Beta Club, Big Brothers and Big Sisters program and a Carter Blood Care Donor. Swimming, shopping, tweeting, hanging
out with friends and listening to music fill her free time.
Next year 16-year-old Valeria Fernandez, daughter of Lupe Fernandez, will continue participating in Spanish Club, Beta Club, Greek Club, Tennis Team, FCCLA and FCA at Fairfield High. Her hobbies include playing tennis,
riding 4-wheelers, baking, and hanging with friends. Ms. Fernandez says she has the best of
both worlds by being born in Orange County, California, but being raised in Texas. This Miss Freestone County hopeful has been
a homecoming duchess the last two years. Valeria will go to Baylor University
to pursue a career in medicine as a Pediatrician.
Kristin Nicole Shaw, daughter of
Cinnamon Archibald and Scotty Shaw, will enter her senior year at Fairfield this fall. This high school twirler has been to
State competition in Solo & Ensemble and Twirling for 3 years in a row. In her Freshman year, she had the
Grand Champion Breeding Goat and the Reserve Champion Breeding Goat in her Sophomore year. She is a member of the Interact Club,
FFA Band, Fairfield Livestock Show Team, Co-Captain of the 2012 Twirling Line. Her hobbies include photography, being
with friends and family, working out, and Zumba fitness at Adrenaline Fitness Center. Her future includes studying to be a
Physical Therapist Assistant, at either Florida State University or Blinn Junior College.
