NEXT LEVEL PRIVATE JET TRAVEL:


Doha-based Rizon Jet has created a new facility in London that completely reinvents the private jet passenger and ownership experience. Peter Osborne reports


The image of private jet travel has traditionally been cultivated to focus exclusively on what happens in the air – the luxurious interiors, the immaculate service, the ‘your schedule is our


schedule’ convenience. What happens on departure and arrival rarely gets much attention. The cliché is of a chauffeur holding open a limousine’s door so that all the passenger must endure on take-off and landing is a few feet of tarmac.


It is fair to say that in recent years some of the airports serving London’s private jet travellers have started to up their game, acknowledging the need of some passengers to have some facilities


either end of their journey for meetings or, simply, for some decompression and a shower.


But none has ever gone to the lengths of a new player in the UK jet terminal business, Rizon Jet, who this year opened a new facility at Biggin Hill that dwarfs, in every sense of the word, any other offering. It is the UK counterpart to Rizon Jet’s VIP terminal in Doha, which this year was voted the best Fixed Base Operation (FBO) in the
