Business Development Manager - £50,000 - £65,000 + Company car + laptop An exciting time for this well established and reputable Manufacturer as they launch a new technically innovative division specialising within LED engines & drivers. Your responsibility as Business Development Manager is to sell the new range of LED products to luminaire manufacturers throughout UK. Initially this role is very hands on utilising your contacts and previous OEM experience to build the division up whilst strategically setting up an infrastructure to support the new business. You will be managing existing personnel, offering product training to key customers as well as promoting the brand to new and existing customers. Commercial acumen is as important as technical strength as you will be creating a vision and road map for the brand. You should have extensive experience within an LED, optics or components based business (good understanding of chip technology) with a dynamic and enthusiastic personality to spearhead this division. Extensive travelling will be a part of the job and any overseas experience/ second language would be a bonus.

Working within the lighting division as the technical engineer/ manager your responsibilities will include ensuring that all products, existing and new adhere to all UK, EU and US standards working within BS, CE, UL guidelines and compliance legislation; working closely in house in the development process of new designs; keeping abreast of all new emerging technologies and energy efficient solutions to incorporate within the product range.


The ideal candidate will be qualified in electrical/ mechanical engineering with a detailed knowledge of the manufacturing process.
