The Drinks Factory Ceramicist Reiko Kaneko has built herself an enviable reputation with her bold yet delicate ceramics. Fresh from just completing collaboration with a unique high profi le UK restaurant, Reiko has now joined forces with The Drinks Factory, the bartender and research collective for her latest commissioned piece, a ceramic oyster-inspired vessel to house the in-house ‘Prairie Oyster Cocktail’. The delicate ceramic oyster shell not only aids the theme of the cocktail visually, but also in taste in delivering the cocktails unique blends and fl avours.

Bulgarian beauty There are a number of new product releases from Bulgarian Pottery and Gifts by one of their artisans, ‘Danko’. Pictured is the blue and white creation ‘Mediterranean Breeze’. Also available is a green and white collection ‘Serenity’ and a swirly abstract creation ‘Danube’. Featuring hues of green and blues, the collections all are inspired by the calming combination of mountains and waters found throughout Bulgaria. Bulgarian Pottery and Gifts has one main focus – to bring the beauty and tradition of Bulgarian pottery to new audiences. This stoneware is lead free, microwave and dishwasher safe and suitable for home décor and everyday use. Each piece is also handmade, minus the use of moulds for an authentic rustic feel.
