The Park Ridge Public Library is located in the Uptown area of Park Ridge, across from the Pickwick Theater. The Library houses more than 190,000 books, 400 periodicals and a large collection of non-print items including: CDs, DVDs, video games, books on CD and digital books.


Throughout the year, the library offers programs for children, teens and adults – including reading clubs, films, educational opportunities and more. Upon request, outreach services are provided to local schools, nursing homes and home bound patrons. Information about community organizations and events is available at www.parkridge.info, the Park Ridge Community Network website hosted by the Library.


The Library has extensive reference resources, in print and online. More than 40 public-use computers provide access to the internet, Microsoft Office 2007 and other software. Patrons using their own laptops can access the Web via a free, fast, wireless connection – available in the Library and on its grounds. Park Ridge Public Library cardholders can use more than 400 other libraries. Patrons may also request materials from other libraries in Illinois and across the nation.
