DISTRICT 207 HIGH SCHOOLS

THE SCHOOLS

Acknowledged to be among the nation’s best, all three Maine Township High School District 207 high schools have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in the National Secondary School Recognition Program.

The comprehensive facilities, grades 9 through 12, feature state-of-the-art computer laboratories and writing centers and have a computerized library system that not only links the three school libraries but also connects them to municipal libraries, university libraries and research facilities. Well-equipped classrooms, foreign language science and technology laboratories, distance learning facilities, radio stations, television studies and general purpose areas such as gyms, auditoriums, fieldhouses and cafeterias mean that Maine students receive their education in an environment that promotes a wide range of learning opportunities.

THE STUDENTS

More than 7,000 culturally diverse students attend the three District 207 high schools.

District 207 students consistently perform at levels above the national norms on the ACT (American College Test) and the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). Each of the three schools offers a comparable program of studies in 13 departments. More than 200 courses are offered at various ability levels.
